Alice Coghlan

aliceAlice completed a Directing MA at GITIS Moscow and Middlesex University and graduated with First Class Honours in Drama and English from Trinity College Dublin and The University of California at Berkeley in 2001. Alice founded Wonderland Productions Ltd in 2003 for whom she has written/directed/produced over 15 theatrical productions. View Alice’s Playograpjy here.

Alice has Staff/Assistant directed for Opera Ireland, Scottish Opera, Bourgas Opera Bulgaria, Opera Academia Europea Florence, California Shakespeare Festival, The Pavilion Theatre and The Abbey Theatre, and has been an Assistant Director/Observer at The Royal Opera House and Opera North. She is also a script reader for The Abbey Theatre Literary Department. In 2007 she was a participant on The Next Stage – Dublin Theatre Festival’s Emerging Irish Artists program.

Alice began work as a drama teacher in 1993 and has taught in schools, universities, arts centres and clubs in Ireland, Italy and Thailand ever since. She co-founded Wonderland Workshops and Camps with Sarajane Bloomer in 2005.

Outside of her theatre and opera work, TV and Radio Production credits include: Maternal Mortality in Ghana with UNICEF West Africa; Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, Celador Productions UK; TV & Radio News and Morning Ireland for RTE.
